SOPHIA Presented at IERC 2026 in Valencia
From 21 to 23 January 2026, Valencia hosted the 24th edition of the International Electronics Reuse & Recycling Congress (IERC 2026) at the Palacio de Congresos. Organised by ICM AG, the congress brought together more than 500 international professionals from across the electronics value chain, including producers, recyclers, policymakers and reuse organisations. SOPHIA was represented on stage by project partners Recycling Europe, AIMPLAS and Recyclia, who introduced the project to the IERC audience in a focused, TEDx-style presentation. The intervention showcased SOPHIA's mission and objectives to industry experts and stakeholders, reinforcing the project's position within the electronics sustainability community and opening conversations with key actors shaping the future of e-waste management.
